The Book of JOHN Pt. 1
The gospel according to John focuses on the deity and the meaning of faith in Jesus Christ. John’s intention was clearly stated: “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and with believing, you my have life in His name” (John 20:31). John began this book by launching back before creation to introduce Jesus as the word. The Word, God Himself, ventured unrecognized into the world he formed and “became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
In Part 1 of this twelve-part series, Dr. Price presents the identity of Jesus as God incarnate.
Jesus existed before the beginning as the eternal expression of God.
Jesus was the divine agent who was responsible for creating all things.
Dr. Price defines the “Logos” as the written Word of God, and “Rhema” as the spoken Word of God.
Mankind was so spiritually blind that when the Light [Jesus] came, they did not recognize Him. Thus, John the Baptist appeared to bear witness of the Light (John 1:7)
