Jesus' witness to the women at the well in Samaria demonstrated His compassionate concern for the lost, which surpassed all social and religious prejudices--for the Jews had no dealings with Samaritains.  This incident drew out a second dialogue about the water of life.  Jesus took a natural need and used it as a channel to minister to the women's spiritual need (John 4:13-14).  The Samaritians believed the only place to worship was at Mount Gerizim, but Jesus explained that it did not matter where one worshipped, but that true worship is in spirit and truth John (4:23).  In Part 7A of this twelve-part series, Dr. Price outlines a pattern for personal evangelism and worship.

The need for Jesus to go to Samaria was not merely a geographical forethought, but a spiritual leading.

Jesus speaks of a water that will forever satisfy the woman's thirst.
