When Jesus fed the five thousand on the shore at the Sea of Galilee with just a few loaves and two small fish, the crowd became so excited they wanted to "take Him by force to make Him king" (John 6:15).  At evening, the disciples crossed the sea by boat.  Jesus, walking on the water, joined them (John 6:6-21).  The next day the crowd wondered how He arrived with the disciples.  Jesus tells them they followed Him because he fed them, not because they saw the miracles.  In Part 7B of this twelve-part series, Dr. Price explains why Jesus contrasts the miracles with the leaves.

The loaves of bread satisfy the physical man, but the miracles speak to the spiritual things.

Jesus says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6).
