The Apostle Paul was troubled when sexual sins were simply ignored by the members of the Corinthian fellowship.  Sexual immorality should be detested because it is a sin against the Holy Spirit, who dwells in each Believer (v. 6:19).  In Corinth, some Believers felt that Paul's condemnation of immorality was a condemnation of sex.  Either they sought divorce or celibate marriages.

In Part 3 of this sixteen-part series, dr. price gives a concise, but pointed instruction concerning marital relationships.

A Believer's body is designed to serve and glorify God; therefore one must pursue righteousness--not sin.

In marriage, couples should abstain from sexual relations only by mutual consent and that only for a short time, for the purpose of devoting oneself to fasting and prayer (v. 7:5).

Dr. Price urges the unmarried to consider the wisdom and spiritual benefits of a celibate life:  to concentrate on pleasing the Lord.
